The Thermomix® TM5 may switch off unexpectedly due to a malfunctioning recipe chip/Cook-key®. In this situation a quick test is needed: remove the chip/key and use the TM5 without either/or attached.
If the TM5 works without a chip, the recipe chip is defective. Unfortunately, the production of recipe chips was stopped in April 2018. You might want to replace it with the new Cook-key®, which allows you to send your favourite recipes from the Thermomix® Recipe Platform, Cookidoo®, directly to the display of your Thermomix® TM5 – using a wireless internet connection. All recipes in the Cookidoo® come with the innovative Guided Cooking function that provides you with helpful guidance for every step of your meal preparation.
If the TM5 does not work correctly without a recipe chip/Cook-key®, it may be necessary to send your Thermomix® to our Service center for assessment.
