If the Thermomix® TM5 is not able to read the recipe chip or it has lost the connection to it, first of all, you need to check that the Thermomix® and the contacts on the recipe chip are clean and dry. Furthermore, you may try to restart the Thermomix® TM5 (Turn off wait several seconds and switch on again) to assure that was not a one-time problem. Reattaching the recipe chip, after a few seconds, it should be recognized again.
The problem is still not fixed?
If you have another recipe chip, please try the same process with it.
If the second chip is working, that may mean that the initial chip is damaged. If the second chip is also not working, please contact Customer Happiness at https://service.thermomix.ca/hc/en-us/requests/new . Our Customer Happiness agents will get back to you in 1-2 business days.
Tip: Try to clean the connection-pins on the Thermomix® TM5 and the recipe chip with soft cotton and alcohol. Doing that, all of the dust and other particles will be cleaned from the connections, assuring better connectivity.
