- You can grate or slice (thin 1-2 mm and thick 4-5 mm) with the cutter.
The slicing functions are on side 1 of the cutting disc (dark side), while the grating functions are on side 2 of the cutting disc (lightside). - The thickness of slicing or grating is determined simply by the direction of rotation.
- Normal (clockwise) rotation will produce thick slices or strips, while counter-clockwise rotation results in thin slices or strips.
Attention:
The right cut can only be done with the disc set on the correct side for the cut. There is a mode for grating and one for slicing. Modes will not change the type of cut that can be done. The direction of the knives determine thick or thin.
Tips:
A gentle and steady push is all you need for optimal cutting results. Basically you just need to guide down the pusher with your hand while ingredients are in the feeder tube of the cutter. Too much force can cause the drive shaft to break.
